Here are the explanation of overview of Verko Theme



  1. Topbar

    • styling & custom text in Dahz Config > Customizer > header > Topbar.
    • Menu in Appearance > Menu.
    • font follow body typography.
    • social icons in Dahz Config > Customizer > Misc > Social Connect
  2. Logo
    • Upload Custom Logo (desktop) or Alternative Logo (sticky & mobile) in Dahz Config > Customizer > Header > Logo
  3. Navbar
    • Styling and Font in Dahz Config > Customizer > Header > Navbar
    • Menu Items in Appearance > Menu
    • Styling & font for Navbar will be applied to in Sticky Navbar (if available)
    • Color scheme for transparent Navbar will change according the options in Navbar Trasparency options
    • To have different menu in a particular page/post can be done from each page/post editor (Page/Post Layout)
  4. Misc
    • Search Icon, WPML icon, and Off Canvas Menu Icon can be turned on/off in Dahz Config > Customizer > Header > Miscellaneous.
  5. Fonts
    • General Font Size can be customized in Dahz Config > Customizer > Content > Typography, All heading size will be generated according to your choice.
    • Font Style and Space for Heading and Body can be customized in Dahz Config > Customizer > content > typography.
    • Link Colors will Follow Accent Color Option in Dahz Config > Customizer > content > Content Area.
    • Share Icon in content area will follow your Body Font Color.
    • To enable subset for font you can go to Dahz Config > Customizer > Misc > Font SUbset
  6. Footer & Copyright Footer
    • you can choose the distribution of your footer area & the styling in Dahz Config > Customizer > Footer > Primary Footer.
    • Custom Copyright Text can be customized Dahz Config > Customizer > Footer > Primary Footer.
    • the fonts for Footer & Copyright Footer will follow your body font.
    • adding/customizing widgets can be done in Dahz Config > Customizer > Widgets, or Appearance > Widgets
    • you can disable footer in a particular page/post by unchecking ‘enable footer’ option on your page/post editor.
  7. Sidebar
    • You can create custom Sidebar from Appearance > Sidebar
    • Adding/customizing widgets can be done in Dahz Config > Customizer > Widgets, or Appearance > Widgets
    • To choose left/right sidebar can be choosen from Dahz Config > Customizer > Content > Content Area > General Sidebar
    • To have different sidebar in a particular page/post can be done from each page/post editor (Page/Post Layout)
    • to enable off-canvas sidebar you need to choose full width layout in each Page/Post Layout option. (off canvas sidebar is not available in blog template)
  8. Button
    • You can adjust button styling from Dahz Config > Customizer > Button.
  9. Page Loader Animation
    • you can enable/customize it from Dahz Config > Customizer > Misc > Page Loader.

Choose Header Layout

Option : Light, Dark, No Transparency

Header Style

We have four styles for your page/post header.

  1. The first one, we call it the normal style
  2. The second one is no header style
  3. The third one is a custom header where you can add video/single image for your header background.
  4. The fourth one (right-est side) is a slideshow header. You can choose the style that suits you the most by clicking the icon there

Note : For the 3rd and 4th option you will get new metaboxes.

Custom Header(3rd Option)

Header Alignment : Choose the alignment for your page title.

Title : Add a title to your header.

Title Color : Set the color of your text title.

Sub-title : Add a sub-title to your header.

Sub-title Color: Set the color of your sub-title text.

Background Options : Set the background style. You can choose between normal (color/image for background),  parallax, or video background.

Sub-title : Add a sub-title to your header.

Note: For Video Background you need to also set the normal background for your mobile view as the video background in header is not available in mobile.

Repeat Options, Repeat X, Repeat Y control your image placement in the background.

Slideshow Header(4th Option)

You can use one of your Master Slider to be your page’s header


Single Post Settings Option

List Post Layout : Normal Post, Left Post, Right Post.

Enable Big Post : Enable this option if you want to show related post under single post.

Enable You May Also Like : Enable this option if you want to show related post under single post.

Category Include You May Also Like : Choose post category that you want to show under Enable You May Also Like. If you leave it blank, Enable You May Also Like will populate post from the same tags.


Page / Post Layout Option

Choose your post / page layout option : PL1 : Right Sidebar, PL2 : Full Width, PL3 : Left Sidebar

Enable sidebar off-canvas : Only shows if you choose PL2. You will see on the left side trigger button to show Primary Sidebar.

Enable Footer : Tick to show footer, untick for vice versa.

Primary Menu : Choose your menu for Primary Menu Theme locations

Upload your audio file or use embed code from other site

Gallery

Single Post Gallery Photo

An image gallery in WordPress can be inserted using the Add Media button and then clicking on “Create Gallery” tab. A gallery is inserted in the post using a shortcode, like this:

An image post format in WordPress is used to display a single image or photograph.

No special post metabox.


Video

Video is one of the post formats supported by WordPress post formats system. A post in video post format usually contains a video either embedded from a third party video hosting service like YouTube or uploaded and played directly from WordPress. Since WordPress version 3.6 there is support for native video upload and playback.

Single post video

Upload Your Video ( .mp4, .ogv or .mov ) : Choose your embedded video on your own hosting.

Embed Your Video : Write video embed code.

Quote

Quote is one of the post formats supported by WordPress. It is used for quotations, specially when a user wants to just share a quote which is not within a standard post or article. A user may decide to add or to wrap a quote around < blockquote > HTML tag.

Quote : Write your quote.

Quote Text Color : Choose your text color.

Author : Write the author.

Background Quote Color : Choose the author text color

Background Opacity Color (%) : Choose background opacity color percentage


Link

A link post format contains a link to a web location. Ideally it is used when a user just want to share a link instead of writing a post. They can just add a title of the link and the URL or optionally add their own commentary for the link.

Single Post Link

Link : Write link location

Caption : Write link caption

Target : Choose Blank if you want to open link on new tab, Choose Self if you want to open link on current tab


Chat

There is no special metabox for this post format

Aside

Aside is an extra bit of information that a blogger may want to provide to their readers without writing a standard post about it. It could be an external link, reference to a discussion carried out elsewhere on the web, or an interesting piece of information that does not fit in the regular scope of the blog’s posts.

Aside in WordPress is one of the supported post formats. Theme developers can choose to provide support for a post format to define its visual representation.

You simply write your aside information on WYSIWG Editor


Status

Status is one of the post formats supported by WordPress. A status is usually a short, twitter-like, status update. However, it is not necessary for an status to be short or twitter-like. A user may choose to write longer status updates.

Verko comes with two custom post type : Portfolio and Testimonial.

Verko theme includes a built-in custom post type for the portfolio making it easier then ever to create your portfolio and add your portfolio items. If you know how to use standard posts you can also create a portfolio! Have a look below for further instructions.

Adding Portfolio Item

  1. Open your WordPress Dashboard
  2. Go to Portfolio > Add New
  3. Fill all the fields as you need it.

Displaying Portfolio Item

To display a portfolio item, you need to add a post or page, then add visual composer element named Post Grid & Post Masonry Grid.

From Post Grid or Post Masonry Grid Element Popup, select Portfolio as Data Source

You can customize your portfolio style too


In Verko, You can create testimonial list with our own custom post types.

Adding Testimonial Item

  1. Open your WordPress Dashboard
  2. Go to Testimonials > Add New
  3. Fill all the fields as you need it.

Displaying Testimonial Item
